I am a ceramic artist from the small city of Zion in the northern part of Illinois. I threw my first pot on the wheel at 11 years old and haven’t looked back since. I used my newspaper route wages to buy my first pottery wheel in the 9th grade and started throwing in my parents old coal room in the basement. The need to create is a part of who I am and my passion for pottery can only be matched by my love for the Lord and my family. I hope my work will speak for the passion and enthusiasm I hold towards pottery.
I offer a wide range of hand-crated goods, from mugs and spoonrests to jewelry dishes and decorative fairy homes. My products are all made with a gorgeous hazelnut brown stoneware clay and are designed to be both beautiful and functional. I‘m always looking for new ways to add a touch of whimsy to my work!
I enjoy both hand-building and throwing on the wheel, and I use both when I create my work. I especially love the hand-built, pliable quality of my ceramic pieces and I try to incorporate that style consistently. I love to pick up a piece of pottery and know it was made by hand, leftover impressions still visible on the clay. There’s plenty of potters out there making beautiful work and I hope to contribute something unique and special to that community.
Have a question? Send me a message and I’ll get back to you soon.
